During the month of May, we have a traveling raffle item. Proceeds from the raffle will help Transition Omaha, a volunteer run non-profit organization, fund various awareness raising events. This week the print is debuting at Mark's Bistro in Dundee. They are located at 4916 Underwood Ave. Proprietors, Mark Pluhacek and Molly Romero, support eating and buying local. The menu informs patrons that the restaurant uses local products whenever possible. With the efforts being put into connecting farmers to buyers, Mark and Molly may find it easier to shop this year.
Do stop in. Let them know how much you appreciate their efforts to support our local growers. And...don't forget to purchase a raffle ticket...or six. Five dollars gets you a bonus chance!
